Japanese Nisshin Steel announced to raise its domestic prices for austenitic cold rolled coils (CRC) and tubes by ¥20,000/ton and increase its domestic prices for ferritic CRC and tubes by ¥10,000/ton from June deliveries.
A spokesman of Nisshin Steel said that the company decided to raise stainless steel prices due to higher input costs and strong Japanese Yen.
Meanwhile, Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC), the largest stainless steel producer in Japan also hiked its prices for austenitic CRC and plate by ¥50,000/ton and increased ferritic CRC by ¥20,000/ton from the first quarter of this year. The prices were remained unchanged for April.
